ServerLIFT® News | April 2025

Changes are in the air, and all of them will impact data centers in one way or another. We provide some insights into what to expect and how ServerLIFT can help you navigate them successfully.

1. How Tariffs Will Impact Data Centers

Tariffs are driving up costs for data centers, particularly for imported equipment and materials such as steel, aluminum, and server components. These price hikes and supply chain disruptions may delay expansions, hinder sustainability efforts, and limit access to AI-capable hardware. Competition will intensify and cause strategic shifts in facility locations and operations.

2. NVIDIA and AI Factories

NVIDIA introduces “AI factories,” massive, energy-efficient facilities tailored for accelerated computing. These AI factories, such as the Lancium Clean Campus in Texas, integrate advanced cooling systems and on-site power generation to support large-scale AI workloads. NVIDIA also advocates for repurposing existing large unused infrastructures into AI factories to expedite deployment and leverage existing power resources.

3. Attachments Extend ServerLIFT Data Center Lift Functionality

If you work in a data center and use ServerLIFT safety-certified lifts, we’ve got your toughest and most unusual server moves covered. Our specialized attachments—such as the GT-1000X™ Glide Table, RS-500X™ Rail Lift, and front-loading shelves—make installations smooth, safe, and precise. Whether you’re working low, high, or deep in the rack, we offer the right tools to get the job done efficiently.

4. ServerLIFT Data Center Lift Comparisons

If you’re considering purchasing one of our lifts, but are unsure which one is the best solution for your data center, we can help! Our comparison charts show each lift’s functionality and specs and our presentation makes it easy to compare them.

Routine maintenance will enhance the life of your ServerLIFT device. We recommend yearly service to ensure your lift is in top-performing condition. If you’d like to schedule a maintenance call, please contact us at (602) 254-1557.
