ServerLIFT® Newsletter | November 2021

Staying ahead in data center operations means embracing the constant, unrelenting changes of the industry. It also means you need to be creative in clutch situations, which is why ServerLIFT® offers you exceptional support.

For instance, we recently had a request from a US military branch that is concerned with safety in their data center. They had been using a warehouse lift that wasn’t getting the job done and needed to upgrade faster than budget approvals would allow.

Thankfully, we offer many options to buy a ServerLIFT®-brand solution. These include financing, leasing, renting, and more. With a little ingenuity, we were able to work out a program that allowed this military data center to get the lift they wanted and stay within budget. It was an honor to support them while they protect us.

In honor of military veterans, we have put together this special Veteran’s Day edition of the monthly newsletter to thank our troops and to help you stay informed as usual.

1. Military Veterans: The Untapped Pool of Data Center Staffing Talent

Data centers are facing more demands than ever before, but talented workers seem to be in short supply. Fortunately, there is a great solution you may never have considered before. This post explains why military veterans could excel at data center work and why you should consider turning to veterans during your next hiring wave.

2. Supermicro’s One-Socket Server Line Gets Update

Some potent processor upgrades have made Supermicro’s single-socket server lineup a viable option for modest applications. As a bonus, they cost less than any dual-socket counterpart. For a list of servers that incorporate decent single-socket boards, read the full article.

3. FAQs for Data Center Relocations or Migrations

Facing a major relocation or migration? It’s easy to get bogged down by the logistics. Our FAQ article addresses many of the concerns you may have and gives you an inside look at best practices when you are doing a data center relocation or migration.

4. ServerLIFT® Appreciates the Service of Our Military Veterans

As we noted last year in this post on the history of ServerLIFT®, I myself am a veteran. I took a break from studying engineering in college to serve in the Army National Guard. I worked as an engineer for the Army Corp of Engineers, doing construction and demolition. Primarily, we built bridges and other infrastructure for our troops.

My own service is a reminder to continue to support our veterans and their families. This Veteran’s Day, we would like to extend a special thank you to each military member who has served or is currently serving our country.

As always, if you have any kind of lift in stock that you need serviced or you want to upgrade, call us at (602) 254-1557.

Hold deg trygg,
