How does the Buyback Program work?

ServerLIFT® buyback program

If your current data center lift from another manufacturer is not reaching expectations or even worse, putting your operators in danger, you can trade it in for a credit towards a new ServerLIFT® data center lift. Many of our customers tell us about their struggles with their current lifts. Either they are low-quality, inferior, or simply not designed for data center use. The Data Center Lift Buyback Program was designed by ServerLIFT® to provide a unique opportunity for data centers to upgrade to the best, safest, and most efficient lifting solution on the market. How does the program work? Request a quote from our Client Experience Team and include pictures […]

Will The Lift Work On Graded Flooring/Ramps?

ServerLIFT® data center lift ramps graded flooring

Sometimes the question arises whether our lifts will go up graded flooring and ramps. Yes, all ServerLIFT® brand lifts can traverse ramps within your data center. They are designed with ADA (American with Disabilities Act) requirements in mind. The SL-350X®, SL-500X®, and SL-500FX® models can traverse grades up to a maximum of 6 degrees. For the SL-1000X®, the maximum grade is 3.9 degrees.

Should I Be Able to Move Our Lift Even With The Stabilizer Brake Engaged?

ServerLIFT® stabilizer brake functions

Customer’s sometimes mistake our data center lift brakes for typical brakes. In reality, our brakes are actually stabilizer brakes. The primary function of the stabilizer brake is to provide device stability when moving equipment side to side on the sliding platform.  The stabilizer brake also has a secondary function: preventing movement of the data center lift when raising, lowering, or loading equipment. If the lift moves easily with the stabilizer brakes engaged, please check that both the stabilizer brake rubber boots are installed and that the braking system locks when engaged. If not, contact our Service and Support Team for assistance.

How Long Do The Batteries In My Data Center Lift Typically Last?

ServerLIFT® data center lift battery life

On occasion our Client Experience team is asked “How long do your data center lift batteries typically last”? The answer is that under ideal conditions our standard, deep-cycle batteries last three to five years. When maintained according to our instructions, they have been known to last up to a decade. Batteries that are allowed to get very low before being recharged will not last as long and, in some cases, may fail to recharge, necessitating the purchase of a new battery.

How Often Should I Charge My Data Center Lift?

ServerLIFT® data center lift battery charging

Customers often ask our Client Experience team “How often should I charge my lift”? The answer is that to maximize the life of the battery, we recommend keeping the data center lift plugged in and charging when not in use for extended periods. Keeping it unplugged for extended periods will drain and reduce the capacity of the battery.

Happy Customers Even During Uncertain Times

ServerLIFT® Customer Experience team service

A customer placed an order with us but soon realized he had placed the order incorrectly. Unfortunately, because of how his company’s system was set up, he had to restart the ordering process from scratch. We worked with him to place the correct order, but some supply chain delays pushed his order out further than expected. This customer called regularly to track the status of his order. He was completely understanding of our situation. He told us that we are always wonderful to work with and always very supportive. That’s great news to us, because during uncertain times and issues with supply chain delays, we do our very best to […]

ServerLIFT Is Going On A Road Trip

Data center lift service basic repairs

Ok, well maybe not a road trip, but we are flying two of our Service Specialists out to a customer’s site in Kentucky to repair some of their lifts. We’ve been to this customer’s site several times for basic repairs, and we discussed training their staff to perform these types of repairs to save money on service calls. While this training has an upfront cost to the customer, it will save them a lot of money in the long run. And it will ensure that their lifts are always up and running in optimal condition. We take our product very seriously and want to ensure that our customers are educated […]

ServerLIFT’s Client Experience Team Is Constantly Learning

Data center safety

We take our jobs seriously here on the Client Experience Team. So seriously that we want to ensure that all of our team members know what a data center looks like on the inside—to better understand how our product helps data center technicians do their jobs safely. Today a couple of our newer team members were introduced to a data center. They learned things like how data centers can lease servers for a short period of time, how there are hot and cold aisles in the data center, plus much more. The one thing that was apparent in this data center is that they were working as safely as possible […]

Workshop Helps Us Serve You Even Better

Team building better customer experience

When ServerLIFT® holds a team workshop, it’s not just any type of workshop. It’s fun, eye-opening, and most of all, an opportunity to learn about each other in the best possible ways. And last week’s was another great one! This time we focused on a few key areas such as understanding ourselves and our teammates, different types of communication, and the variety of skill sets we all possess, to name a few. We facilitated that by taking a special pre-workshop assessment, setting specific goals we wanted to achieve, planning for group exercises, and reflecting on timely questions and scenarios that we could all discuss together. All that prep worked, because […]
