As we look back at 2023, we see a lot of change that affects data centers. Perhaps the real game changer has been the emergence of AI in mainstream use. To accommodate demand, rack densities are increasing, and new IT equipment is heavier, making it even more difficult to move without a safety-certified lift. We don’t know what 2024 holds in store, but our commitment remains to help data centers meet their challenges.
1. Data Replication + Data Backup = Effective Disaster Recovery
Replication and backup. What’s the difference? We spell it out clearly in this recent article. Data replication and data backup differ in functionality, but they both play an essential role when disaster strikes.
2. LinkedIn Opts to Maintain Physical Data Centers Instead of Moving to the Cloud
LinkedIn has decided not to migrate to Microsoft Azure because doing so would require the company to abandon its own software tools and use those provided by Azure. Microsoft, which owns LinkedIn, has been steadily trying to move its acquired companies to Azure. LinkedIn’s refusal to do so may create an interesting scenario to watch.
3. ServerLIFT Service … Wherever You Are
Someone in Mexico City needed service on their ServerLIFT SL-350X hand-cranked lift. We confirmed availability and, in fact, we can arrange service virtually anywhere in the world, including Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Unlike other companies, ServerLIFT® does not employ any salespeople. Our Client Services team helps potential customers find the best solutions for their data center environments and helps customers make those solutions a reality. If you’re looking for a data center lift, or you have questions about a lift you already own, Skontaktuj się z nami.
When was the last time your lift or lifts had maintenance? We recommend regular maintenance for all our lifts. If it’s been more than six months since your lift was maintained, let us know at (602) 254-1557. We will schedule it for service so you don’t have to worry about unexpected downtime.
