Our New CRM Handles Customer Accounts More Efficiently

We have shifted into a new ERP system so that we can interact with our customers as efficiently as possible. This new software is helping us to improve customer service, production, reporting, and analytics, which will enhance our overall customer experience and satisfaction. Our operations will be more streamlined. We appreciate our customers’ patience while we transfer over to this new system, but so far we are pleased with the way it’s all working.
What Makes The ServerLIFT® Data Center Lifts Stand Apart?

For starters—and this is pretty important—our lifts are the only lifts that are designed specifically for use in data centers. Everything about them is the result of us finding out what data center managers want and need, and making sure our lifts are the very best at meeting those requirements. They can fit in narrow data center aisles and go through normal data center doors and elevators. They can load from the front or the side, to match your center’s configuration. They can roll easily over floor obstructions. There are no pinch points. They can be precisely manipulated to remove or install servers. They can reach right down to the […]
Selling The Idea Of A Data Center Lift To Your Boss?

We’ve heard the story so many times. “I’m trying to convince my boss we need a lift. When we have to move our equipment manually, I have to ask people to come in on an overtime basis . . . it’s dangerous for two or even three techs to manually lift these massive servers and other equipment . . . I hate the idea that someone has to get hurt before they’re finally convinced we need a lift! It’s even worse when a data center manager comes to us after a terrible accident has happened, causing a talented tech to be out for months due to injury, not to mention […]
How High Do Our Lifts Go?

One of the questions we are happy to answer is “how high do your lifts go”? The real answer is, “As high as you need them to!” Our most popular push-button lift, the SL-500X®, goes up to 52U (8 feet, or 2.44 meters). Our heavy-duty push-button lift, the SL-1000X®, designed for today’s heavier data center equipment, reaches rack positions of up to 56U (8.75 feet, or 2.67 meters). And our hand-cranked lift, the SL-350X®, which is best for occasional use, goes up to 52U (8 feet, or 2.44 meters). And, if you need your lift to go even higher, you may want to consider our RL-500™ Platform Riser attachment, which […]
Where Are You? Yes, We Have Service There

Someone from Mexico City needed service on their SL-350X®, our hand-cranked lift, and started chatting with Don on our website. Don confirmed that we do have service in Mexico, and started moving the process along by asking for the serial number of the machine. In fact, we can service our own data center lifts virtually anywhere in the world, including Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, the Middle East and UAE, and, obviously, Latin America. We can also service any other type of lift at your data center, for customers located in the continental United States. This means you can get our reliable and professional service for all your lifts. One-stop shopping […]
ServerLIFT® News | September 2023

Autumn is almost here and much of the country is waking up to cooler mornings and shorter days. But just as heating systems need fall maintenance, data centers also need regular maintenance. It may be time to decommission some servers or to consolidate server racks. ServerLIFT® helps our customers every day with these maintenance tasks, so we’ve included some of our Behind the Scenes stories in this newsletter to give you an inside look. 1. Handling Outdated Data Center Hardware Microsoft recently lowered the lifespan of their servers from six years to four years. How do data centers handle hardware that has aged out? Decommissioning them is one way, but […]
What Attachments Do You Offer To Extend The Range Of The Lifts?

Sometimes you need a little extra help from an accessory that can handle a tough fit or unusual aisle configuration, or you simply want to be able to lift a super heavy piece of equipment out of its box (without breaking your back!). So our engineers have come up with ways to solve these problems for you. Our Glide Table makes installs smooth and friction-free. The Lift Extension makes it easy for a single operator to remove heavy equipment from shipping boxes. Our RS-500X™ J-Rail Assist is a safe and convenient way to angle servers in and out of “j-shaped” drop-in rails. Our PL-500X™ Platform Extension brings the reach of […]
Is Your Server In Our Server Database?

It’s probably one of the biggest collections of the world’s servers—and it also happens to be a constantly updated list of all the servers you can remove, transport, and install with our designed-for-datacenter lifts, as we describe in this video. If you want to make sure that your server can be lifted by a ServerLIFT® device, you’ll want to check out this database. You can search by manufacturer (including Cisco, Dell, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Huawei, IBM, Inspur, Juniper Networks, Lenovo, NEC, NVIDIA, Oracle, Sugon, and Supermicro), name, width, height, weight, and more, and almost all servers in the database also include their data sheets and manuals. It’s an incredible reference, even […]
Move 200 Servers In Less Than 36 Hours? No Problem!

ServerLIFT® users are happy to help each other out, when the occasion calls for it. As this video explains, we were contacted by a data center manager who had to install 200 servers in less than 36 hours (!). Overnight shipping would bust their budget, so we set to work. Our super helpful team started calling ServerLIFT® customers close to this data center manager, and sure enough, on our first call, we found a client with a six-month-old SL-500X® model lift. He generously invited the data center manager to come and pick it up—so they could use it to meet their “impossible deadline.” And they did! That was a very […]
Data Center Lifts For Non-Data Center Environments?

ServerLIFT® manufactures a variety of safety lifting devices that are specifically designed and safety-certified for data center use. But what if you need a lifting solution that is for a different environment? ServerLIFT® has you covered! We have had an influx of manufacturing companies looking to our products—especially the SL-500FX™ Front Loading Lift—to lift their equipment (such as heavy batteries). There are many use cases outside of the data center environment where our lifts may be the right choice to ensure safety for your staff and expensive equipment. Regardless of your specific use case, we believe that no one should be lifting heavy equipment by hand, so if you are in […]
