Designed Specifically for Data Centers
There are companies that make warehouse lifts. They like to tout their lifts as appropriate for data centers. Too bad, because if you try to use one of those lifts in your narrow-aisle data center loaded with heavy and expensive servers, requiring pinpoint positioning and safe, one-operator use, you will see immediately that they are simply not up to the task. Wow. You won’t believe the call we just got. A regional colocation provider asked if we could expedite their recent data center lift order. They have one lift already, but at least five of their clients have been fighting like crazy over it! Okay – we’re going to do our best to move the delivery up…provided that everyone behaves and “plays nice”. We have a feeling an order for another 2-3 ServerLIFT® server-handling lifts might be coming in soon 😂.

One Data Center’s Trash is Another’s Treasure
Despite the continued growth of the IT industry, like any other, it also has businesses that reach end-of-life. That’s why we were happy to help buy back two ServerLIFT® SL-500X® powered lifts from a data center that was being decommissioned. As soon as we get the machines back to our facility, we’ll fully inspect, test, and refurbish these fantastic data center safety tools as certified pre-owned lifts for another facility that wants to give them a home. ServerLIFT® still has customers using their original SL500 Classic models that we shipped them nearly 20 years ago!
