ServerLIFT® SL-500X® - Expert Advice

Repeat Customers Still Need Our Expert Advice

A customer reached out to us via our web chat asking for pricing on another SL-350X® manual data center lift. They already have two, but will need more in the next year or so. They have our SL-1000X® Super-Duty lift at another campus, therefore they believed they did not have the space for an electric lift at this location. We explained that the SL-350X® manual lift and the SL-500X® electric lift are the exact same base design (it’s the SL-1000X® Super-Duty lift that is bigger), so if they did want the ease of a one-touch lifting solution rather than a manual hand-cranked lift at this site, they could certainly get one. They were happy to know they had options.

I was initially using a manual lift to move servers and other equipment. When the ServerLIFT® electric model came out it was an even better solution. If I have a server that needs to be installed and I am the only one available, I can get it down quickly and easily with the ServerLIFT® unit.

We have a ServerLIFT® solution and it’s awesome. It can lift 500 lbs without issue. Even the largest Cisco devices can be installed using it. Our facilities group uses it to pull motors from CRAC Units. It’s well worth the investment.

Safety is our #1 priority. Originally, we didn’t have the resources to install the hardware safely. СерверLIFT® unit was of great benefit during the racking of our blade centers. With the use of the strap kit, one person was able to unbox and safely place the 300-pound device into a rack on the rails. The benefit of not having to remove the blades and power supply components from the chassis to make it lighter saved time and potential damage.
