2. Google Plans a Massive Data Center Expansion in Ohio
Central Ohio has been the home of one of Google’s cloud data centers since 2019. Now, Google plans to pour another $1 billion into developing data centers in Columbus and Lancaster, as well as expanding the capacity of their existing New Albany campus. Mayor Sloan Spalding looks forward to the expansion, citing the positive economic growth that resulted from Google’s initial investment.
