2021 will be a year full of promise for the data center industry, as the growing digital economy drives new business. This growth makes us more determined than ever to help make every data center a safer place to work.
Our latest blog post lists five of the most critical data center safety considerations. If you haven’t checked out our Server Database yet, we’ve expanded beyond servers to list additional hardware compatible with our lifts, and a newly released video shows why some of that hardware may soon be relocated . . . to the ocean.
The right safety measures keep data centers safe even as they scale and process more data. These five considerations should always be top-of-mind.
Our newest resource has been expanded to include switches and PDUs compatible with ServerLIFT® data center lifts, from companies including IBM, Cisco, Lenovo, and Juniper. Some new additions:
- Hewlett Packard Enterprise G2 PDUs & Aruba switches
- IBM SAN switches, including SAN B and SAN C series
- Juniper EX & QFX Series switches
- Huawei Cloud Engine switches
- Lenovo ThinkSystem switches
Cool ocean temperatures may be the key to more affordable large-scale data center operations, which is why Microsoft dropped servers underwater for two years.
It will be interesting to watch the tech industry innovate (both on land and under the sea) in the year to come. We plan on promoting a culture of safety anywhere servers are headed next!
