1. Construindo um data center sob uma catedral<\/strong><\/h3>\n

H\u00e1 muitas piadas que podemos fazer sobre a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um data center sob uma igreja, mas vamos passar. Levando a efici\u00eancia do datacenter a um n\u00edvel totalmente novo, o datacenter da Atos foi constru\u00eddo dentro de um antigo abrigo antia\u00e9reo a 30 metros do hist\u00f3rico Catedral de Uspenski<\/a> em Helsinque, Finl\u00e2ndia.<\/p>\n

Esse conceito n\u00e3o \u00e9 novo, pois v\u00e1rios outros datacenters foram constru\u00eddos dentro de cavernas e abrigos de bombas no subsolo, para aproveitar as temperaturas mais baixas e os benef\u00edcios de seguran\u00e7a. Al\u00e9m disso, o Atos Data Center usar\u00e1 a \u00e1gua do mar pr\u00f3xima para resfriar seus servidores. Suas pr\u00e1ticas de refrigera\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o s\u00e3o necessariamente o que chamaram nossa aten\u00e7\u00e3o. O interessante dessa instala\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 que ela transporta o calor produzido pelo equipamento servidor at\u00e9 a cidade para aquecer edif\u00edcios e fornecer \u00e1gua quente para os moradores.<\/p>\n

2. Data Centers Offshore<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bem, esse data center ainda n\u00e3o existe. N\u00e3o se sabe muito sobre seu desenvolvimento atual, al\u00e9m de ter sido recentemente arquivado como patente pelo Google. A ideia \u00e9 construir um data center flutuante<\/a> que usa as ondas para extrair energia e a \u00e1gua do mar para resfriar os servidores. O conceito n\u00e3o apenas \u00e9 completamente verde, mas tamb\u00e9m elimina a necessidade de im\u00f3veis. Nenhuma palavra sobre como eles v\u00e3o lidar com tsunamis, icebergs e piratas!<\/p>\n

3. Usando lagoas cheias de jacar\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Vamos falar sobre o Google novamente! Como mencionamos anteriormente, o Google leva a seguran\u00e7a f\u00edsica de seus data centers muito a s\u00e9rio, mas nunca pensamos que eles levariam isso t\u00e3o longe quanto estocar seus fossos com jacar\u00e9s assassinos!<\/p>\n

Estamos brincando! O Google n\u00e3o tem fossos, eles t\u00eam lagoas - e esse particular Centro de dados<\/a> fica na Carolina do Sul, onde um jacar\u00e9 praticamente entrou e o reivindicou como sua casa. O data center do Google em Berkeley County est\u00e1 testando o uso de tanques para impedir que seus sistemas superaque\u00e7am. Logo ap\u00f3s iniciar o projeto do lago, as algas come\u00e7aram a se formar por l\u00e1, ent\u00e3o o Google abasteceu o lago com peixes que se alimentam das algas. Logo depois disso, um jacar\u00e9 apareceu para comer o peixe. Infelizmente, eles ter\u00e3o que se livrar do jacar\u00e9 depois que ele crescer para 6 p\u00e9s - atualmente \u00e9 de 4 p\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

4. Centros de dados no espa\u00e7o<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aqui est\u00e1 outra id\u00e9ia de efici\u00eancia que ainda est\u00e1 em seus est\u00e1gios conceituais. Chama-se ServerSky e envolve a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de um data center no espa\u00e7o! Os benef\u00edcios s\u00e3o tremendos, pois seriam completamente auto-suficientes e n\u00e3o causariam polui\u00e7\u00e3o - pelo menos n\u00e3o para a Terra. Usaria energia solar para energia, espa\u00e7o profundo para refrigera\u00e7\u00e3o, sem restri\u00e7\u00f5es imobili\u00e1rias. H\u00e1 um problema, por\u00e9m, que n\u00e3o foi resolvido. N\u00e3o est\u00e1 claro como ficar\u00e1 contra a radia\u00e7\u00e3o e quanto dano receber\u00e1.<\/p>\n
