Friday Afternoon Lift Rental Rescue

A while back, our team was working through a particularly busy week. By the time Friday rolled around, we were all looking forward to our afternoon virtual team happy hour.

At 1PM we got a call from a company that was working on a project to install a couple dozen super heavy switches—all within a few days. The company was looking to rent a data center lift as a last resort in order to meet their deadline. Needless to say, they were in a bit of a panic.

Thankfully, the company was able to fast-track budget approval by 3PM, giving our team the green light to get to work. We all pulled together to get a rental machine prepped, packed, and out the door before 4PM that afternoon for a cross-country, Tuesday delivery. That made our happy hour very happy indeed.

Without a ServerLIFT® data center lift here, customers, they would be...let’s just say, very displeased if we didn’t offer that sort of a service when they got there and they went to rack their gear and they needed something to help them. It’s something that they rely on.

ServerLIFT® unit was of great benefit during the racking of our blade centers. With the use of the strap kit, one person was able to unbox and safely place the 300-pound device into a rack on the rails. The benefit of not having to remove the blades and power supply components from the chassis to make it lighter saved time and potential damage.
