All survey information was anonymous to encourage participant honesty and minimize bias.<\/p>\n<h2>Trends:<\/h2>\n<p>The data indicated that using ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> products was far more efficient method of handling IT equipment than using generic warehouse lifts; translating into significant cost savings for data centers. For the purpose of this survey, data center efficiency was defined as the number of man-hours required to install a server in a rack. Data centers using generic warehouse lifts are losing approximately 1 man-hour per equipment move, resulting in higher operating costs. Results are illustrated in the graphs below\u00b9.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"web-developer-display-image-dimensions\">Width = 906px Height = 266px<\/span><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7945\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Efficiency-Graphs-Combined-op.jpg\" alt=\"Efficiency Graphs Combined\" width=\"906\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Equipment Weighing More Than 50 lbs:<\/h2>\n<p>1. 70% faster install times with a <a title=\"SL-500X Server LIFT | Server Lifter | Server Hardware | Data Center Management\" href=\"https:\/\/serverlift.com\/hu\/data-center-lifts\/sl-500x\/\">ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/a> vs. a generic warehouse lift<br \/>\n2. Other differentiators such as ease of use, risk reduction, suitability for the task and improved handling safety were not evaluated as part of these results. A VMWare survey of customers\u2019 operational efficiency citing the company\u2019s internal cost calculations specified the fully-burdened cost of system administrators to be $75 per hour.
