Construyendo un centro de datos debajo de una catedral<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Hay un mont\u00f3n de bromas que podr\u00edamos hacer sobre la construcci\u00f3n de un centro de datos debajo de una iglesia, pero vamos a aprobar. Llevando la eficiencia del centro de datos a un nivel completamente nuevo, el centro de datos de Atos fue construido dentro de un antiguo refugio antia\u00e9reo a 30 metros debajo del hist\u00f3rico <a href=\"http:\/\/www.treehugger.com\/clean-technology\/data-center-housed-under-cathedral-heats-homes-in-finland.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Catedral Uspenski<\/a> en Helsinki, Finlandia<\/p>\n<p>Este concepto no es nuevo, ya que se han construido varios otros centros de datos dentro de cuevas y refugios antia\u00e9reos subterr\u00e1neos para aprovechar las temperaturas m\u00e1s fr\u00edas y los beneficios de seguridad. Adem\u00e1s, el Centro de datos de Atos utilizar\u00e1 el agua de mar cercana para enfriar sus servidores. Sin embargo, sus pr\u00e1cticas de enfriamiento no son necesariamente lo que nos llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n. Uso de estanques llenos de caimanes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u00a1Hablemos de Google nuevamente! Como mencionamos anteriormente, Google se toma muy en serio la seguridad f\u00edsica de sus centros de datos, \u00a1pero nunca pensamos que llegar\u00edan tan lejos como para abastecer sus fosos con caimanes asesinos!<\/p>\n<p>Estamos bromeando! Google no tiene fosos, tienen estanques, y esto en particular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/2012\/11\/google-gator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">centro de datos<\/a> est\u00e1 en Carolina del Sur, donde un cocodrilo pr\u00e1cticamente entr\u00f3 y lo reclam\u00f3 como su hogar. El centro de datos del condado de Berkeley de Google est\u00e1 probando el uso de estanques para evitar que sus sistemas se sobrecalienten. Poco despu\u00e9s de iniciar el proyecto del estanque, las algas comenzaron a formarse all\u00ed, por lo que Google almacen\u00f3 el estanque con peces que se alimentan de las algas. Se llama ServerSky e implica construir un centro de datos en el espacio. Los beneficios son enormes, ya que ser\u00eda completamente autosuficiente y no causar\u00eda ninguna contaminaci\u00f3n, al menos, no a la Tierra. Usar\u00eda energ\u00eda solar para energ\u00eda, espacio profundo para enfriamiento, sin restricciones inmobiliarias. Sin embargo, hay un problema que no se ha resuelto. No est\u00e1 claro c\u00f3mo resistir\u00e1 la radiaci\u00f3n y cu\u00e1nto da\u00f1o sufrir\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>ServerSky es en realidad una propuesta muy razonable para los problemas de energ\u00eda que est\u00e1n creando los centros de datos. Una de estas \u00e1reas es la etapa de implementaci\u00f3n: la tarea de mover y levantar servidores y otros equipos pesados de montaje en bastidor. Estas tareas generalmente se llevan a cabo utilizando mano de obra con 2-4 empleados que llevan equipos, sin saber que este proceso tambi\u00e9n puede optimizarse para la eficiencia. Los accidentes ocurren todo el tiempo, especialmente cuando se levanta equipo pesado con varias personas dentro de un entorno confinado, como un centro de datos. Si se cae un servidor, terminar\u00e1 con decenas de miles de d\u00f3lares en equipos montados en bastidor que ya no funcionan. Peor a\u00fan, \u00a1podr\u00edas terminar con un trabajador lesionado!<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, \u00bfcu\u00e1l es la mejor manera de aportar eficiencia a esta tarea?
