At ServerLIFT, we occasionally get feedback that people love our server handling devices, but they\u2019re afraid they won\u2019t work if they start ordering larger servers. Sometimes, people pass us over entirely because they see the default shelf on our data center lifts and assume it will be too small for their needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s an understandable concern. After all, some of today\u2019s AI servers and other IT equipment measure 40 inches long and 21 inches wide. These are colossal compared to older servers. Many people assume they\u2019ll need all new equipment to install and move these massive items.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thankfully, this isn\u2019t the case. If you\u2019re moving into the AI space and you\u2019re suddenly faced with moving servers and other IT equipment, we recommend purchasing the <\/span>WS-1X\u2122 17″ Wide Shelf<\/span><\/a> attachment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It will fit onto all of our ServerLIFT data center lifts, so you can keep the same equipment you know and love and still upgrade your facility.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The plate itself is a 17-inch (43.2 cm) extension platform that bolts onto the existing lifting platform and provides the extra surface area necessary to safely install and move today\u2019s large servers, such as the NVIDIA DGX-2 and the NVIDIA DGX A100. The platform is rated for up to 500 pounds (227 kg)\u00a0 in the center and up to 300 pounds (136 kg) at the very edge of the extension.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With this surface area and weight rating, you can fully support almost any server without overhang or risk of unbalancing the load. It\u2019ll save your time, your back, and your precious investments all at the same time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The WS-1X\u2122 Wide Shelf is compatible with the <\/span>SL-350X<\/span>\u00ae<\/span><\/a> data center lift, the <\/span>SL-500X<\/span>\u00ae<\/span><\/a> data center lift, and the <\/span>SL-1000X<\/span>\u00ae<\/span><\/a> data center lift.<\/span><\/p>\n
