It\u2019s not something we want our customers to experience, either. Having something like a ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> on the floor for my techs and the clients saves us from injuries. Before we got it, we\u2019d get several guys to lift equipment together and put it on the rails, which isn\u2019t really the best option. We think about the safety of our staff all of the time.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p><em>A.D. Robison, Rahi Systems<\/em><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A considerable amount of effort goes into creating ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> products and attachments that function well and keep operators safe under both data center and warehouse safety regulations. This includes extensive research and regular audits for compliance, resulting in important third-party endorsements on a global scale.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our assisted lifting devices (ALDs) meet worldwide standards for both safety and for health and safety management systems. In order to make that happen, we have to maintain the highest standards of operational improvement. There is a tight and constant focus on both mechanical and electromagnetic safety. Each regulation and standard is detailed below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to remember: This is a level of internal and external scrutiny that, in the world of server handling, is unique to ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> products. Certain warehouse lifts may meet some of the standards listed above, but this does not mean they are appropriate solutions for handling servers in a data center. They are still designed specifically to take on warehouse work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Data Center Regulations and Lift Safety<\/span><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0627\u0644 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.datacenterknowledge.com\/archives\/2016\/01\/06\/data-center-design-which-standards-to-follow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">standards for data centers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> shift globally and are dependent on design, operation, and other factors. There are international standards, national and local codes, and optional rules that could be set industry-wide or over specific equipment and machinery used anywhere in the region in which the data is located. But, there are some product certifications that are widely accepted\u2014or even universally applicable\u2014for a data center facility in any given region. The certifications adopted by ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> were chosen for their ubiquity and global trust. You can trust that all ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> products, as applicable, have achieved the following certifications:<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0634\u0647\u0627\u062f\u0629 UL \u0644\u0644\u0645\u0646\u062a\u062c\u0627\u062a \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0627\u0644\u0645\u064a\u0629<\/span><\/h3><p><a href=\"https:\/\/services.ul.com\/categories\/certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Underwriter Laboratories<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (UL) is a company with well over a century of comprehensive certification programs for products, facilities, processes, and systems. The overarching commonality is their focus on safety, accepted across the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UL is an independent certifying agency. Many of our data center clients have also adopted the UL standard for products that they use in their facilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CE\u00a0 European Conformity<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CE was the first formal standard ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> pursued for product compliance. The CE marking signifies that products sold in the EEA <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0646\u0637\u0642\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0627\u0642\u062a\u0635\u0627\u062f\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0623\u0648\u0631\u0648\u0628\u064a\u0629) \u062a\u0645 \u062a\u0642\u064a\u064a\u0645\u0647\u0627 \u0644\u062a\u0644\u0628\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0633\u0644\u0627\u0645\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0639\u0627\u0644\u064a\u0629 \u0648\u0627\u0644\u0635\u062d\u0629 \u0648\u062d\u0645\u0627\u064a\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0628\u064a\u0626\u0629 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/growth\/single-market\/ce-marking_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0627\u0644\u0645\u062a\u0637\u0644\u0628\u0627\u062a<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CE stamp is required on all products imported into and sold in Europe, but we have voluntarily elected to ensure CE compliance for every product we build regardless of its ultimate in-service location. CE compliance focuses on two types of safety: mechanical and electromagnetic.<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0634\u0647\u0627\u062f\u0629 FCC<\/span><\/h3><p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Federal_Communications_Commission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0644\u062c\u0646\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0627\u062a\u0635\u0627\u0644\u0627\u062a \u0627\u0644\u0641\u062f\u0631\u0627\u0644\u064a\u0629<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> certification is for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/FCC_Declaration_of_Conformity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">electromagnetic conformance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. While the FCC is an American government entity, this certification is recognized in many other places.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The product performance thresholds required to attain FCC certification are similar to CE standards. Compliant devices cannot cause electromagnetic interference with the computers and servers which come into close proximity. This type of disturbance can degrade performance or stop equipment from functioning entirely.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any harmful emissions, including electromagnetic interference (EMI) can cause injury due to radiation, noise, an affected power supply, or a failure of equipment.<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0634\u0647\u0627\u062f\u0629 IC<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IC is a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ic.gc.ca\/eic\/site\/ceb-bhst.nsf\/eng\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0643\u0646\u062f\u064a<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u0634\u0647\u0627\u062f\u0629 \u0635\u0627\u062f\u0631\u0629 \u0639\u0646 \u0645\u0643\u062a\u0628 \u0627\u0644\u0634\u0647\u0627\u062f\u0627\u062a \u0648\u0627\u0644\u0647\u0646\u062f\u0633\u0629. \u0627\u0644\u0627\u062e\u062a\u0628\u0627\u0631 \u0645\u0648\u0627\u0632\u064a \u0644\u0627\u062e\u062a\u0628\u0627\u0631 CE \u0648 FCC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canada\u2019s approach to RF or radiofrequency testing (a part of the electromagnetic spectrum) is particularly stringent. This certification ensures operators are not affected by any RF energy being emitted by a ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> product.<\/span><\/p><h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ISO:9001 and ISO:14001<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ISO certification is company-focused instead of product-focused. As a manufacturer, ServerLIFT<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> meets ISO standards voluntarily. Earning and maintaining these certifications is very important to us.
